Draw Project gets $150K in funding

The Draw Project in Sugar House is one step closer to becoming a reality.

The Salt Lake City Development Agency approved funding of about $150,000 on Tuesday so the project can proceed, but it still needs $70,000 more to reach its goal.

Supporters say it's been a long time coming.

"We have been working on this a long time and this helps us get that much closer," said Juam Arce-Larreta, the PRATT Coalition. "This is a great victory for us."

Parley's Trail will connect the Bonneville Shoreline Trail with the Jordan River Parkway Trail.
